and on the net.
SUFCdata had the exclusive details prior to publication of this excellent book
which is full of photographs and information about the Blues.

A to Z Encyclopaedia of Southend United - Potted biographies
of important (or interesting) players, plus entries such as Attendances,
Bogey Teams, Sad But True, Managers, etc, etc. There are entries for every
letter of the alphabet, including Q (Quickest Goal), X (Xmas Day Games)
and Z (Zenit Leningrad).
Players Whos Who - Like 'Southend United - The Official
History of the Blues' which Dave co-wrote with Peter Mason, this contains
every player to have made a first team appearance since 1920 up to the end
of last season. It also includes some corrections and a lot of the gaps
of birthdates and transfer details have now been filled in.
Seasons Reviews 1992/93 onwards - Peter Miles has written
a comprehensive review of each season, and has team group photographs from
each season, plus full statistics included.
The book is copiously illustrated throughout, using many of Dave's programmes,
photos and pieces of memorabilia, plus approximately 25 photographs never
seen before from the Photo Archives of the Evening Echo.
Published by Yore Publications, specialist publishers of football books
from clubs outside the premier league, the cost is £10.95, it is hardback
with 144 pages.
